Two or more times a week I get on my bike and ride down to the southwest corner of La Montana and Palisades to get my taco and hot dog fix from the Fountain Hills Food Cart. My favorite is the beef tacos, but I also throw in an authentic Chicago dog about once a week. A bag of chips, Diet Coke and a delicious Chicago dog is what I call a great lunch.
It’s an American story. Two native Fountain Hills young men who have decided to revive one of the great traditions of Chicago and New York, with a corner hot dog vendor cart.
So catch them while you can. Hot days are coming and they’ll have to take a break and cool off but, right now, it is perfect hot dog weather.
