It’s the week of July 4th and both Fountain Hills and Fort McDowell will play host to activities and fireworks. The good news is that those events will be on back-to-back nights, meaning locals can stretch their holiday for some extra celebrating.
First up is the Fort McDowell Casino event, set to kick off this evening, July 3. Gates open on the “Red, White and Boom Celebration” at 6:30 p.m. with a free outdoor concert beginning at 7:30 p.m. A fireworks display is set to go off when the band wraps up.
Fountain Park is the place to be Thursday evening, July 4, with the annual Fourth at the Fountain event set to begin at 6 p.m. There will be family-friendly activities, a DJ, food trucks and plenty of activities to keep everyone partying until the sun goes down.
Fireworks are scheduled to go off at 9 p.m. but, as noted in our 1A coverage, that will be dependent on cooperation from the weather.
As always, these events are free and open to the public, so everyone is encouraged to slap on some sunscreen, grab a blanket and head to Fort McDowell Casino and Fountain Park for some holiday fun.
