Rees Van Denburg

Rees Van Denburg, 79, of Fountain Hills passed away on Sept. 28, 2018. Rees was born May 21, 1939 in Schenectady, N.Y.

He was a well-respected retired IBEW electrician and was foreman on the building of the Staples Center in L.A.

Rees enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed sports his entire life, including softball (both playing and coaching), bowling, and golf.

Rees is survived by his wife, Renie; daughters, Kim (Steve) and Shantel (Jonathan); sons, Bryn (Jamie) and Allen (Katie); brother, Dennis (Connie) and sister, Glenys (Harold); nine grandchildren, Cecylia, Payton, Robyn, Hayley, Dalton, Josie, Michael, Trevor, Abbie as well as numerous nieces and nephews and favorite dog, Slylar.

A celebration of life will be held in November in Fountain Hills and in May of 2019 in Darby, Mont. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation or the NRA.
