Pat Mitchell, 76, formerly of Huntington and Holbrook, Long Island, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2019.

Pat was born on May 29, 1943 in New York City. Pat was the second youngest of eight children to Thomas and Catherine Brennan.

Pat is survived by her husband, Morton “Mitch” Mitchell after 41 years of marriage; and by sons, Sterling and Christopher Raynor; grandchildren, Jane and Henry Raynor; sister, Marilyn Mallon; brothers, Thomas Brennan and Edmund Brennan; half-brother, Martin Brennan, sisters-in-law, Marianne Brennan, Connie Brennan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bernard and Nancy Mitchell; step children, Victor, Susan and Lisa Mitchell; step grandchildren, Lauren, David and Emily Mitchell, Brett and Alina Iwanski, Lucy and Caroline Witchell as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was a loving mother who also loved to travel, accompanying her husband on numerous trips overseas on business and family matters. Her trips with her husband to Ireland discovering her roots was a highlight that was irreplaceable, as well as helping her husband discover his roots on trips to Macedonia and Australia.

She had an intense love for all of our adopted dogs over the years; a true dog person. Pat, in addition to being a homemaker, had a wonderful eye for fashion and memorabilia and collected many unique items in decorating her home in Fountain Hills, where she and Mitch resided for 27 years.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hills on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. Donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley.
