Larry Moyse

Posted

Larry Moyse passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Nov. 23 at the age of 63. Larry moved to Fountain Hills from Inwood, N.Y. in August of 1995. Since then, he has been a proud servant to the community.

Larry was a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, son and “friend of (your name here).” While many Fountain Hills residents remember Larry as a photographer, he also served as a firefighter and paramedic in New York, and was a self-proclaimed “Hero for Hire.”

His passion for photography began when his first photo was published in the New York Daily News at the age of 14. Besides taking photos, Larry loved being in the desert, as he spent most mornings watching the sunrise at McDowell Mountain Regional Park, followed up by a visit to the dog park in town.

Larry is survived by his wife, Janet; his sons, Lawrence, Jonathan (wife, Lyndsey), and Patrick; his father Laurence (wife, Carole); his sisters, Kathy, MaryAnne, and Gina; many nieces and nephews, and various other relatives. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Elsie, and his granddog, Ruca.

A memorial gathering will be held at Messinger Mortuary on Sunday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Ascension.
