Janice Lee Ferrara “Jan,” 77, of Fountain Hills passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019 at Banner Baywood Hospital in Mesa.
Jan worked in the medical field as a lab technician early on and later became a 1986 Oakland University graduate and pursued a career in counseling.
She moved to Fountain Hills in 1993 with her “other half,” Frank Ferrara, and she enjoyed a life of retirement. Although, even in retirement, she continued many things including working at Farwest Mortgage.
Jan was devoted to her husband; they shared 54 years of marriage filled with living well, loving much and laughing often.
Jan was an incredibly loving mom to her children, Lisa, William, Betina and Frank Michael. As a “granny,” she poured love, laughter and enjoyment on her two grandchildren, Tia Rose and Rocco Anthony. She was also a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Words cannot describe how much she will be missed. May Frank and Jan dance together eternally.
A memorial mass will be held at the Church of the Ascension in Fountain Hills on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. with a dessert reception immediately following.
