Jackie Klokner

Jackie Klokner, a resident of Fountain Hills, Ariz., passed away on Oct. 1, 2018 at the age of 87.

Jackie, daughter of Norma Mantell and Bill Niven, was born in Canada and moved to the United States at age 7. She graduated from high school in Phoenix and attended nursing school and became a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She married her first husband, Thomas E. Breen, in 1955 and had three sons, Timothy, Daniel and Shawn. In 1974, she married Alex Klokner, who she met while employed at Salt River Project as a nurse and later as a counselor. They moved to Fountain Hills in 1974. Alex preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 2017.

She is survived by her sons, Timothy, Daniel and Shawn Breen, and their children, Diana Breen and Sean Breen. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Lisa McCarville (Bill), Barry Klokner (Lisa) and Susie Neal (Charles) and their children, Kevin, Matthew and Megan McCarville, Ryan and Justin Klokner and Krystal and Kyle Neal.

Visitation and services will be held at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary (6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale) on Monday, Oct. 15, at 1 pm. Private family reception to follow.
