Ascension welcomes Harry Potter for VBS

Registration begins June 1 for a Vacation Bible School sponsored by Church of the Ascension and The Fountains Methodist Church.

The theme will be “Harry Potter and the Light of the World.” The sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, July 16-20 at Church of the Ascension,

Youngsters entering kindergarten through fifth grade will travel via Platform 9¾ to Hogwarts and learn that Jesus is the Light of the World.

Participants will hear Bible and saint stories, learn prayers, play games and make crafts. Each will receive a blessings wand and learn prayers in Latin.

The cost is $20 and payable in cash or check at the time of registration. Registration forms are available in the front office. Space is limited.

Also, adult volunteers and teenagers entering sixth grade through high school are needed to help with the programs.
