Suspect in deputy involved shooting identified

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in Monday’s deputy involved shooting in Fountain Hills as Ismail Hamed, 18, of Fountain Hills.

Hamed was booked into Maricopa County Jail Tuesday evening on two counts of aggravated assault on a police office and one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

MCSO did not identify the deputy involved but state he is a sergeant with 12 years with the Sheriff’s Office.
