Robbery at FH grocery store

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is reporting an armed robbery took place at the Fry’s grocery store on Shea Boulevard in Fountain Hills Monday, March 27, at about 9:20 p.m.

According to MCSO Capt. Larry Kratzer, after the store had closed a suspect held the manager at gunpoint and made him open the safe. The suspect fled after obtaining a significant amount of cash.

The incident is being investigated by MCSO detectives and additional details are not immediately available.
