New 3-way stop being installed at Fountain Hills, Saguaro boulevards

Posted

The Town of Fountain Hills Street Department has a contractor installing a new three-way stop sign at Saguaro and Fountain Hills boulevards on Saturday, June 3.

Due to the volume of traffic, speed of vehicles, and crash data for the north and southbound lanes of Fountain Hills Boulevard, the stop sign is needed. Currently, traffic for Fountain Hills Boulevard flows through the intersection with Saguaro Boulevard without a stop.

Since this is a new sign requiring traffic to make a stop both north and southbound on Fountain Hills Boulevard, the Town will create lane reductions at the intersection for up to 30 days to help drivers be informed of the new signage and driver requirements. In addition, signs are being installed before the four-way stop signs, which will alert drivers of an upcoming stop sign.
