Girl Scouts host information meeting

Fountain Hills Girl Scouts is hosting an information meeting this Saturday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m. at the Sunset Kiwanis building, located at 16957 Kiwanis Dr.

Parents and guardians of any young girl interested in joining Girl Scouts are encouraged to attend the informal information night. Registration procedure, troop availability, troop activities and membership dues will be discussed at the meeting.

Girls between the ages of 5 and 18 can be a part of Girl Scouts; a safe place designed specifically for girls, where they’re inspired to seek out new challenges, build important skills and take the lead.

“There is greatness in every girl,” said neighborhood troop coordinator Nita Blose. “Girl Scouts plants trees, collects and assemble Blessing Bags for the needy, clean paths, paint tunnels, recycles plastic; whatever it takes to make her neighborhood better. Find your greatness by joining Girl Scouts.”

Blose said the Service Team for Fountain Hills’ Girl Scouts is committed to making the dream of every girl interested in being a Girl Scout a reality.

“With the combined efforts of volunteer Girl Scout leaders and involved parents, we can make this happen,” she added.

Those interested in being involved with Girl Scouts but unable to attend the meeting should call Nita Blose at 480-296-3101 or email nblose@arotechinc.com.
