Employees and residents of Fountain View Village are raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association’s observance of “The Longest Day,” Friday, June 21.
The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On that day, thousands of participants from across the world will come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice.
To help bring awareness “until there is a cure,” Teri Larson, Fountain View resident program director, said the senior facility will accept donations at a scooter/walker/car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, June 7, in the east parking lot facing the Avenue of the Fountains.
The goal is to raise $2,000. Donations can also be made at act.alz.org.
