Fountain Hills ranks among top 25 Phoenix cities
Thousands gathered in Fountain Park Wednesday evening, July 4, to celebrate Fourth at the Fountain. The day's festivities included music, bounce houses, games, food trucks and, of course, plenty of fireworks. For more photos, visit the online gallery or check out next week's edition of The Times.

If you were to ask many local residents to name the best city in which to live in the Greater Phoenix Valley, they probably would say Fountain Hills.
The Phoenix Business Journal has published a list of the top 25 places to live in the metro Phoenix area for 2019.
Fountain Hills was ranked No. 22. The top location was Ahwatukee Foothills and the 25th was Laveen.
The business newspaper attributed the rankings to Niche, a Pittsburgh-based company that creates rankings to help people choose schools, neighborhoods and communities.
The rankings are based on factors such as cost of living, public schools, crime, job opportunities and local amenities.
Fountain Hills’ overall rating was B+. The public schools also were given a B+ grade.
The median home value was listed as $387,800. The median rent was $1,184.
