Aaron Eckburg, co-founder of go lb. salt, a local gourmet salt company, and organizer of the weekly, seasonal Farmers Market on the Avenue of the Fountains median, died suddenly from an aortic dissection June 1 at the age of 48.
His wife and business partner, Liz, told the Phoenix New Times that the doctor said it was “rare and a fluke.”
Established in 2011, go lb. salt specialized in distinct salt options, as well as brines, rubs, and bacon products both online and at farmers markets.
He was an independent insurance broker specializing in risk management and flood insurance
A memorial service was conducted June 8.
