The Fountain Hills Activity Center will host a presentation, “Who is the Crisis Response Team,” on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Community Center.

The Crisis Response Team may be asked to help out at the scene of a sudden death, traffic accident, structure fire or other incidents as requested. At the crisis scene a two-person team will focus on the emotional and social needs of an individual or family while the emergency personnel attend to their specific assignments. Such needs may be related to medical emergencies, deaths, suicides, fires, domestic issues etc.

Program presenters Tom Aiello and Viree Byrne are members of the Crisis Response Team. Teamed with the Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office, the Crisis Response Team members are trained volunteers dedicated to providing immediate crisis intervention and on-scene emotional support during and after a traumatic event.

Pre-registration is required. The program is free to 2019 Activity Center members with a $5 fee for non-members. Contact the Fountain Hills Activity Center at 480-816-5226 to register.
