Council rejects medical marijuana dispensary request
Posted
The medical marijuana dispensary in Fountain Hills will not be allowed to increase its hours of operation or offer delivery as a new service as the Town Council voted 5-2 on Tuesday, Aug. 13 to reject the request by Nature's AZ Medicines to amend the zoning regulations.
The dispensary is allowed to operate between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The council also denied a request to allow for the delivery of the medical marijuana products.
Mayor Ginny Dickey and Councilman Alan Magazine voted to support the change, with Vice Mayor Sherry Leckrone, and councilmen Mike Scharnow, Art Tolis, Dennis Brown and David Spelich voting to deny.
