Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a burglary from a vehicle at the Motor Sports car lot at Saguaro Boulevard and Colony Drive on Monday, June 3.

The vehicle was stripped of various parts sometime between 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, and 9 a.m. on Monday, June 3.

The vehicle was blocked up, with tires removed, and parts from the front end between the bumpers and below the hood were removed.

The investigation into this incident is continuing.

*On Tuesday, June 4, a resident of the 16300 block of Palisades Blvd. reported reviewing video surveillance on his residence and observed a male subject attempt to open doors on two vehicles parked at the scene. The doors were locked and the suspect did not gain entry.

*On Wednesday, June 5, deputies received a report that someone entered a residence in the 14400 block of Boxwood Lane through an unlocked door and stole electronic equipment and tools from the home.

*On Tuesday, June 4, a resident of the 17300 block of Fort Verde reported two credit cards associated with his Apple Pay account were compromised with charges made to both cards totaling $430.

*On Saturday, June 1, deputies received a report from a resident of the 16300 block of Trevino Drive who reported his business account had been compromised and four unauthorized checks totaling $5,800 had been written from the account.

*On Thursday, June 30, a resident of the 17100 block of Kirk Lane reported receiving an email from an unknown person demanding $500 in bitcoin or else embarrassing emails would be sent to her entire contact list. The victim called MCSO rather than pay the demand.

*On Sunday, June 2, a resident of the 16800 block of El Lago Boulevard reported the theft of more than 50 prescription pills from a pill bottle over a period of several months.

*On Sunday, June 2, a resident reported leaving his wallet on the counter at a Fountain Hills grocery store. When he returned the wallet was gone and no one had turned it in.

*On Tuesday, June 4, deputies charged a suspect with theft after they admitted stealing from a business in the 16700 block of Shea Blvd. where they worked.

*On Thursday, May 30, deputies received a report that a female suspect had stolen $83 in alcohol from a Fountain Hills grocery store and assaulted an employee when confronted.

*On Thursday, May 30, a female subject stole alcohol valued at $20 from a Fountain Hills grocery store.

*On Friday, May 31, deputies received a report from a nail spa that there was damage to a door and frame and it is believed it was a break-in attempt.

*On Sunday, June 2, deputies received a report of a resident of the 14000 block of Edgewood Drive hearing a loud bang around 3 a.m. Damage to the garage door was found the next morning. Damage was likely from a vehicle backing into the door.

*On Wednesday, June 5, a resident of the 15800 block of Eagle Nest Drive reported damage to a garage door. It is believed to have been struck by a vehicle.

*On Saturday, June 1, a resident of the 15700 block of Greystone reported she believes someone was inside her guest house because lights and a fan were on and bedding was disturbed. Nothing appeared to be missing. The door was left unlocked by the owner.

*On Tuesday, June 4, deputies responded to a rear-end collision at Parkview Avenue and Saguaro Blvd. A woman driving the rear car reported driving with the wrong foot when it slipped off the brake.

During the week between Thursday, May 30, and Thursday, June ,6 deputies were involved in 241 contacts and 44 reports were taken.

MCSO is reminding residents to lock the doors of the home and vehicle, and remove valuables from a vehicle when leaving it unattended.
