Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies in Fountain Hills received a report of a suspicious situation near the Fountain Hills Middle School on Wednesday, May 15.

At about 12:15 p.m. two unidentified juveniles were seen getting into a truck near the school. It was reported as a possible kidnapping.

School officials were able to account for all students and deputies counted it as a suspicious situation, but found no evidence of a crime.

*On Wednesday, May 15, deputies responded to Fountain Park at about 11:15 a.m. where it was reported that an unknown person believed to be intoxicated was sleeping on a bench near the Splash Pad. Deputies located the male subject and found there was a warrant for his arrest. He was booked into county jail on that warrant.

*On Thursday, May 9, a resident of the 12900 block of Westridge Drive reported someone had stolen coins valued at $12,000 from their home.

*On Thursday, May 9, a man reported his wallet stolen from a vehicle in the 16300 block of Arrow Drive. Victim wanted the incident documented, but did not wish to file a report.

*On Monday, May 13, a resident of the 14200 block of Ibsen Drive reported an unknown person made several unauthorized purchases in California using the victim’s debit card information.

*On Friday, May 10, a resident reported receiving a call from someone representing themselves as a Microsoft employee seeking access to their computer in order to reimburse the person for an overpayment. Personal information was stolen that resulted in the theft of $500 from the victim’s bank account.

*On Thursday, May 9, an automotive business in the 11400 block of Saguaro Boulevard reported the theft of a pry bar.

*On Thursday, May 9, a resident of the 15000 block of Los Mochos Court called to report wedding ring had been stolen. Deputies were unable to contact the victim.

*On Sunday, May 12 deputies received a report from a person in the area of Fountain Hills and Palisades boulevards that someone had stolen the license plate from his vehicle.

*On Wednesday, May 15, a resident was notified by the IRS that someone with an Indiana address had used her Social Security information to file a tax return.

*On Friday, May 10, deputies were called to Fountain Hills Middle School where a gate had been damaged.

*On Saturday, May 11, a woman in the 16500 block of Palisades Blvd. reported damage to her motorcycle cover.

*On Saturday, May 11 a resident of the13700 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. reported a window in her apartment had been broken.

*On Monday, May 13, the Town of Fountain Hills reported that up to six padlocks had been cut off gates on the ball fields at Golden Eagle Park over a period of two months.

*On Tuesday, May 14, deputies received a report from a Fountain Hills restaurant that there was a small hole in a window of the facility.

*On Wednesday, May 15, an individual reported a seven-foot scratch on their vehicle parked in the 112800 block of Saguaro Blvd.

*On Saturday, May 11, deputies investigating an audible burglary alarm at a business in the 16600 block of Palisades Blvd. located a suspect in a vehicle that was reported stolen out of another state. It was a rental car that had not been returned. The suspect was booked into jail on stolen vehicle charges.

*On Thursday, May 9, deputies investigated a single vehicle non-injury accident at Del Cambre Ave. and La Casa. A dog had jumped onto the driver’s lap causing them go off the road and into a landscaped area causing damage.

*On Friday, May 10 a motorist crashed into a retaining wall in the 16300 block of Sullivan Drive. The driver appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending lab results.

* On Sunday, May 12, deputies investigated a collision at Trevino Drive and Saguaro Blvd. A driver failed to yield from a stop sign and was struck by another vehicle. There was minor injury to a passenger in one of the vehicles and a driver was cited.
