Dirk Brothers install lighting for homes and businesses

Brothers Mark and Chris Derksen have opened a new electrical company, Dirk Brothers Electric, naming the firm after their great-great-grandfather from Holland, Dirk Derksen, and great-grandfather, Dirk Derksen Jr.

They said they wanted to carry on the family name and tradition of craftsmanship and hard work.

They have a combined 21 years of experience in the electrical field. They boast that they are lighting experts for home and business applications and have experience in retrofitting lighting fixtures with LED technology.

“We started this company because we enjoy the craftsmanship and quality behind our work,” the duo said in a statement. “We’ve just seen too much bad electrical work that makes you scratch your head. Not only that, we are masters when it comes to the perfect lighting for your home and business.

“We absolutely love creating the perfect ambience or really lighting up a work space to improve productivity and safety.”

Mark has lived in town for 22 years. He has served on the town’s Dark Sky board for nearly three years and has been involved in Dark Sky lighting projects in Flagstaff and throughout Coconino County.

They are licensed, bonded and insured.

They can be contacted at 480-203-1706 or at DirkBrothersElectric@gmail.com.
