Italian Interest Group enjoys Italian Heritage Night at Chase Field

Seven club members attend special D-backs game

The Fountain Hills Italian Interest Group joined the crowd at Chase Field for Italian Heritage Night on Friday, Sept. 19.

Seven group members made the trip downtown to celebrate Italian culture with nine innings of baseball, Italian fare and special D-backs jerseys inspired by Italy’s colors. Much to the members’ delight, their night got an extra boost in the fifth inning when the right-field scoreboard flashed the group’s official name.

The evening featured a performance by soprano opera singer Ripalta Bufo, who will also perform at the Italian Festival at the Old Town Scottsdale Waterfront, Oct. 25-26.
