Community Band concert set for Tuesday, Feb. 12

The Fountain Hills Community Band, under the baton of Music Director Alan D. Roselieb, will present a concert of live band music next Tuesday, Feb. 12.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church, 13001 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.

Included in the program will be marches by John Philip Sousa and Kenneth Alford; an exciting “Jubilation Overture” by James Barnes celebrating the 150th anniversary of the founding of the city of Lawrence, Kansas; music from one of Broadway’s most enduring musicals, “Oklahoma;” a special “Prelude for Band – When Jesus Wept” by William Schuman, performed in memory of former euphonium player, Mr. William A. McNeal; and a fun Dixieland jazz arrangement by resident composer, Edward Madden featuring Bud Sessions on clarinet, Al Roselieb on trumpet and Eddie Madden on trombone.

Admission is free and open to the public.
