Fountain Hills Library is now fully open to patrons.
Library users are able to work on computers, reserve a study room and browse the full collection of books, music, movies and more. Indoor use of the library has been restricted due to COVID-19.
According to Fountain Hills Library Manager Maren Hunt, everything except in-person programming has been resumed.
“We have based our decisions on information from the Maricopa County Public Health Department,” Hunt said. “When it is determined by public health when we can start in-person activities, we will be ready.”
Maricopa County Library District has offered numerous services virtually. Patrons have been able to reserve books and other materials then pick them up curbside. More recently, media have been able to be reserved and picked up inside the facilities.
Hunt said curbside pickup remains as a service.
“We learned that the curbside pickup is really a great service to the community,” she said.
Books and other materials can be reserved online with a current library card. The patron will be notified that the items are ready, and a pickup appointment can be scheduled online at mcldaz.org, or by calling 602-652-3000. The “MyLibro” app also is available through the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) to use for the various services.
Online events can be accessed any time of day at mcldaz.org/subject/new-today-playlist.
Fountain Hills Library is located at 12901 LaMontana. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The library is closed Sundays.
