Panel discusses FH vision plan
The Urban Land Institute has brought together a panel of nine experts at Town Hall today to discuss implementation of the town’s Downtown Vision Plan. The group is brainstorming on subjects ranging from retail, commercial and residential uses to regulation and tourism aspects. The group will offer ideas, but no recommendations for staff and town officials to consider as they move ahead with implementing the vision plan. The Downtown Vision Plan was adopted by the Town Council and was developed by Swaback Partners, along with the town and Chamber of Commerce.

Volleyball easily bests Estrella Foothills
Volleyball fans were treated to a pretty quick match last night as the high school Falcons took on the team from Estrella Foothills. The visitors put up a good fight in the first game, but the Fountain Hills squad managed to keep a steady lead throughout, winning 25-18. Game two went to the Falcons rather quickly by a score of 25-11 with game three wrapping up almost as soon as it began, the locals winning 25-6. The Fountain Hills squad will continue play on the road tomorrow with a 6 p.m. match in Wickenburg. The week wraps up this Saturday when the Falcons host the Fountain Hills Invitational. Beginning at 9 a.m., this event is expected to play host to visiting teams from Monument Valley, Coolidge, Sahuarita, Sedona and Shadow Mountain.

Local fans are invited out to this first home game of the season to help cheer on the Falcons.
