“A Chorus Line” is at our theater. For the first time in their history, a show was sold out before it opened. They have added some extra performances so you just might get some tickets. You really should try. Call 837-9661, ext. 3. It’s a musical for everyone who ever had a dream and had the courage to pursue it. It won nine TONY awards and is the longest-running American Broadway musical ever (rumor has it that there are several tickets Super Bowl Sunday).
Now what do we do to keep them doing what they do best? Well, we support them all we can. Their big fundraiser, Broadway in the Hills, is coming up on Sunday, March 18, at the Community Center. Gina Maravilla from KTVK 3TV will host and there will be live entertainment, a champagne reception, delicious food and both live and silent auctions.
If you call the same number above before Feb. 9, tickets are $100 instead of $125 per person. Part of this is tax-deductible. Funds from this event help support the Mainstage and Youth Theater, as well as the year-round after-school and summer performing arts and outreach programs for youths.
Hope to see you at the theater and Broadway in the Hills.
