Recently, there have been letters denouncing the Fountain Hills Tea party. I guess I do not understand why. In your mind, answer the following questions:

* Do you think the government is too big?
* Do you support the Constitution?
* Do you support free market economics?
* Do you think you are taxed enough already?

If you answered yes to the above questions, you are a tea party sympathizer!

The Tea Party objective is to promote and provide education of the public on matters of government, public policy and the Constitution while being an advocate for smaller, fiscally responsible government; active citizen participation; free market principles; and adherence to the principle of the Constitution.

I have learned a lot about the Constitution and local, state and federal governments from the speakers at our monthly meetings. I have never been asked to financially support causes nor has the Tea Party used my dues to support causes. The decision to do so is mine.

So before you criticize this letter, consider attending one of our meetings -- You might find it informative and enlightening. If you decide to criticize this letter, at least tell me which of the above four questions that you do not agree with.
