Robert W. Donalds

Robert W. Donalds, 86, recently of Henderson, Nev., passed away Sept. 7, 2009 peacefully at his home.

He was born Nov. 9, 1922 and raised in Robbinsdale, Minn. Bob played football at Robbinsdale High School and was an avid football fan.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Hawaii. He was the owner of Gopher State Exterminating Co. until his retirement in 1986 when he moved to Fountain Hills.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lois; brother, Dean (Beverly) Donalds; and family members, Ron (AnnMarie) Donalds, Debi (Terry) Anderson, Duncan (Eileen) Foster, Rodney Foster; grandchildren, Michelle (Russ) Lundquist, Kelly Foster, Michael, Katie and David Foster; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Justin Cave.

Bob and Lois loved to travel and were full of the love they shared with friends. A special thanks to new friends on Long Creek Court in Henderson.

A memorial service is to be held Monday, Sept. 28, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cemetery (Chapel of the Angels) in Minneapolis, Minn.

Fr. Samuel Ciccolini, founder of Interval Brotherhood Home in Akron, Ohio, will be saying mass in Bob’s honor. Donations in Bob’s name may be sent to Interval Brotherhood Home, 3443 S. Main St., Akron, OH 44319.


Lewis Jackson

Lewis W. Jackson, 48, of Ft. McDowell, passed away Sept. 11, 2009 at his home. Born in Cottonwood, Ariz, he graduated from Mingus Union High School and attended Clarkdale Baptist Church. His working career was with Ft. McDowell Sand and Gravel.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gram Jackson. He is survived by his mother, Sylvia Lewis; sons, Cazzie T. and Dakota L. Jackson; daughters, Tammy Jaime, Victoria Reyes, Latrinedee Jackson and Saundra Lopez; brothers, Monty Jackson and Quas Sine; sisters, Pamela, Rhonda and Sherra Jackson; grandmother, Lupe Russell; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation was held Friday, Sept. 18, and funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Ft. McDowell Gymnasium.

Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary handled the arrangements.


Marylyn Wallin

Marylyn Wallin, 78, of Morrison, Colo., was the wife of Berger “Bud,” mother of Mark D. (Fatima) Wallin, and Lisa M. (Gregory) Steiner, grandmother of Leo G. Steiner and Isabella M. Wallin.

A memorial service was held Monday, Sept. 21, at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel in Wadsworth, Colo. Interment at Fort Logan National cemetery.
