Q&A with the Candidates
For the next few weeks, The Times will pose questions to the candidates and their respones will be presented here and in the newspaper.

1. Balancing the budget is becoming more difficult during the current economic times. Do you believe the town can cut expenses enough to get past the tight fiscal situation, or are there revenue options you believe must be considered to balance things out?
   
   
2. What is your position regarding the proposal for the town to contract with a single trash hauler for Fountain Hills and include recycling service?
   
   
3. What steps do you believe the Town Council should take to implement the Downtown Vision Plan?
   
   
4. Money is tight, so where should the town invest in capital improvements? With about $9 million in the capital improvement fund, do you believe there are priorities that need to be completed? What are those?
   
   
5. As refined plats come forward for consideration, what will you be watching for related to balancing the approved development agreement and issues that may need further discussion, in particular land use, density, circulation?
   
   
6. Town Manager Rick Davis used terms such as civility, enrich and partnerships in his recent report on the council goals for the coming fiscal year. Can you describe a governmental philosophy that embodies these terms?
