New lows

Fountain Hills was once hailed as a very desirable place to live, but Fountain Hills has sunk to new lows with recent sleazy politics.

Consider The Times letters to the editor written to support newbie Mike Tyler for Town Council. Then compare them to the PAC members who wrote and signed the ballot arguments in favor of the property tax in the voter pamphlets; they are identical in both instances.

No matter how Tyler tries to distance himself as much as he is a head honcho tax promoter, he cannot escape the fact that his major supporters are salivating over higher property taxes as much as he is, except now they are exposed to public scrutiny as he must be.

What political hubris to support more taxes during an economic downturn. This is such an unfair tax burden that most voters are furious over and will send a resounding message: No Town Hall property tax. And no to Tyler, too.
