Ellman traffic

We live in the neighborhood adjacent to the intersection of Boulder and Richwood. It is a quiet, friendly neighborhood of fairly narrow streets and no sidewalks. People walk their dogs, push strollers, ride bikes, and children wait for the school bus in the street.

We want the “powers that be” at Town Hall to be aware that we have serious concerns about the amount of traffic that will be added to our neighborhood when the Ellman development of the former state trust land is completed. We already have areas that present safety concerns --Boulder/Richwood, Boulder/Tepee, Richwood/Tepee --think what additional cars will do to these areas.

Our request is that Richwood and Boulder remain closed as they are at present. A cul-de-sac could be constructed at the end of each, or those areas could be vacated by the town and turned into green space.

The proposed roads in the new development that would feed into Richwood and Boulder could be looped as they are on the east side of the development and thereby allow us to keep our neighborhood safe.
