We have a choice

When we go to the polls later this month, we will indeed be faced with a choice. When we bought property in Fountain Hills 11 years ago and built our home seven years ago, there was an environment of “neighborhood” welcome, and small town with build out adjacent to a larger metropolitan area (Scottsdale) that could provide all the amenities within a short “down the Hill” drive.

We are now faced with a choice between two individuals with entirely different agendas. One, Mike Tyler, who chairs the Strategic Planning Advisory Commission, and wants Fountain Hills to become “Scottsdale No. 2” through a tax and continuing irresponsible spending.

The second, Dennis Contino, is a person who settled and worked in Fountain Hills and also had a vision. Only his vision is still much like the one of those of us who settled into this quiet, beautiful area with a signature Fountain. He has been a hard worker all his life and is the type of person we need to help lead our town.

We have enough irresponsible “tax and spend” elitists in our government. It is time to get back to the basics for which we settled in Fountain Hills.

Vote for Dennis Contino and know there will be a voice of reason on our Town Council.
