Common man

When a common man makes the right choices and does the right thing, it is a praiseworthy sentiment. It should be just the norm and be expected to be otherwise.

We must praise Dennis Contino. He is the common man in this election and in life. He is not the elitist. He is not twisting campaign finance laws or town rules to be an elected official. He just wants your vote so he may do your bidding on the dais of seven.

Is it a difficult thing to expect of any of our council? Apparently it must be. Six of seven council members, including the mayor, endorsed and fought for one of their own and two others. Now, four of seven plus one outgoing mayor and councilman are pushing for one more.

This entire group is dedicated to the last remaining hope for a quorum on council. One that would override any prudent policy possibilities, pass the property tax and let the spending begin.

There is only one answer to the legacy groping group. Win at all costs. Use whatever method available. Twist, turn, and distort at will to achieve the goal.

Show them the door swings both ways.

Show them by voting no on the property tax.

Show them by voting for Dennis Contino.
