Fountain Hills realty group makes donation

Susan and Tony Pellegrini of Sotheby’s International Realty and owners of 85268.com recently announced another local endeavor to support.

The group will donate $250 to Bob’s Free Bikes for any home they list or sell for the remainder of 2024.

Bob’s Free Bikes was created by the late Bob Mandel in 2017 who provided more than 40 years of dedication to Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics and Feed the Children according to a press release.

In 2017, Mandel continued to fulfill his passion for giving to children by starting Bob’s Free Bikes. The organization supports youth with a mission “to provide a bike for any child, 18 years old and younger, who would otherwise not be able to have one. Children should experience the responsibility, excitement and freedom that comes with owning a bike.”

Since its founding, Bob’s Free Bikes has donated over 5,400 bikes to children in need.

The Pellegrini Group has been passionate about giving back to the community and is excited to give recognition to this group of incredible men and women.

Upon visiting the bustling location filled with skilled volunteers and bicycles, Tony Pellegrini said, “This is a place that needs more recognition.”

He and his mother Susan Pellegrini have sold more real estate than any other Realtor in Fountain Hills, according to the press release, adding that after another record-breaking year, the Pellegrinis immediately asked how they could give back.

“I believe there are many residents within Fountain Hills that would like to know how they can help donate their time,” said Susan Pellegrini.

Not only is the donation of bicycles (in any condition) needed, but the components (such as a helmet and tires) are crucial to the success of Bob’s Free Bikes. The Pellegrini Family has made an initial donation of $500 and intends to continue this donation until every youth has a bicycle within Fountain Hills.

“Watching the compassion that the leadership has for such a great cause is a true joy,” said Tony Pellegrini. “Mark Jordan has now dedicated his life to Bob’s passion and ensures every ‘re-cycled’ bike is adequately sized for the child in need.”

Bob’s Free Bikes receives donations from various organizations including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, The Pellegrini Group, Sotheby’s International Realty and more.

There is a dire need for new and additional locations for Bob’s Free Bikes, and any available space will be strongly considered and appreciated.

Bob’s Free Bikes is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation and further information is available at bobsfreebikes.org.
