Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills reports that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, March 7, through Wednesday, March 13.

Thursday, March 7

*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Hampstead Drive. It was reported that a traffic collision occurred after a driver failed to yield while making a left turn and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed. A traffic citation was issued.

Friday, March 8

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard and Ledferd Lane. A driver was stopped for speeding, traveling 50 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. Upon checking records it was discovered that the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation for driving on a suspended license and a civil citation for speeding.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Boulevard where it was reported that a known subject shoplifted items from a business.

*Deputies responded to the Adero Canyon Trailhead for a hiker suffering from medical issues. The hiker was rescued from the Ridgeline Trail by the MCSO aviation unit. The hiker was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Saturday, March 9

*Deputies responded to Shea and Saguaro boulevards for a reported traffic collision when a motorist made an unsafe lane change and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed from the scene. A traffic citation was issued.

Sunday, March 10

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard where a private property traffic collision was reported after a driver backed into a parked vehicle in a business parking lot. No injuries were reported and no vehicles were towed. A records check revealed the driver was operating the vehicle on a suspended license. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Boulevard where a disorderly customer was trespassed from a business.

*A resident of the 13000 block of Kendall Drive reported neighbor trouble. Deputies identified no criminal activity taking place.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Boulevard where it was reported that an unknown subject took the victim’s wallet while at a business. Then the suspect reportedly traveled to a second business and attempted to use the victim’s credit card to make an unauthorized purchase.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Gunsight Drive reported that an unknown subject took items from a vehicle while it was parked at a residential parking lot.

Monday, March 11

*Deputies responded to Saguaro Boulevard and Firebrick Drive where it was reported that a driver struck a street sign causing it to be knocked down and left the scene without reporting the collision. The driver was located and issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop at Shea Boulevard and 142nd Street. The motorist was stopped for criminal speed traveling 76 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Tuesday, March 12

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Boulevard where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted items from a business.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported that an unknown subject illegally impersonated an MCSO deputy and demanded money from the victim in a fraudulent scheme.

Wednesday, March 13

*A resident of the 16000 block of Boulder Drive reported that an unknown subject attempted to defraud them out of money through a scam.
