Fountain Hills: Sheriff's call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills reports deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Feb. 29, through Wednesday, March 6.

Thursday, Feb. 29

*A resident of the 17000 block of Baca Drive reported that an unknown subject attempted to defraud them out of money through an e-mail scam.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. The driver was issued a criminal citation for traveling 60 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. A driver was stopped for criminal speed traveling 66 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Palisades Boulevard reported that an unknown subject took a spare tire from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a residence.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Monterey Drive reported that a known subject attempted to open a credit account in the victim’s name without their permission.

*Deputies responded to Saguaro and Shea boulevards for a traffic collision that occurred when a motorcycle lost control, crossed a raised median and struck a stopped vehicle. The motorcycle rider was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.

*A resident of the 17000 block of De Anza Drive reported that an unknown suspect attempted to defraud them out of money through an online scam.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Bainbridge Avenue reported that an unknown subject set the victim’s trash can on fire.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard  where a domestic violence assault was reported.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Balera Drive. The motorist was stopped for travelling 64 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The deputy conducted a records check and discovered the vehicle was displaying a fictitious plate. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Friday, March 1

*Deputies received a report in the 15000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard that an unknown subject illegally dumped trash into a commercial dumpster.

*A resident of the 16000 block of Lombard Place reported that an unknown subject fraudulently removed money from the victim’s account.

*It was reported that subjects utilizing a short-term rental removed the owner’s property from the residence in the 15000 block of Ocotillo Drive without permission.

*Deputies responded to Shea and Palisades boulevards for a traffic collision after a vehicle made an improper turn. No injuries were reported; no vehicles were towed from the scene.

Saturday, March 2

*A resident of the 15000 block of Firerock Country Club Drive reported that an unknown subject attempted to sell the victim’s property without their knowledge or permission.

*Deputies responded to Verde River Drive and Parkview Avenue where an unknown driver struck a stop sign at the intersection then left the scene in a hit and run single vehicle collision.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Boulevard where an assault incident was reported by a third party. No victim or suspect information was available.

Sunday, March 3

*A resident of the 15000 block of Escondido Drive reported an unwanted guest at a residence.

Monday, March 4

*A resident of the 17000 block of Cascade Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information for a credit account without permission.

*A resident of the 12000 block of Saguaro Boulevard reported that an unknown subject stole the victim’s motorcycle from the parking lot of a residence.

*Deputies responded to Via Del Oro and Via De Penasco where a single vehicle collision was reported after a driver lost control of their vehicle and drove into a wash. No injuries were reported, the vehicle was towed from the scene.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Boulevard where it was reported that a customer of a business became disorderly. No prosecution was desired by the victim.

Tuesday, March 5

*A resident of the 16000 block of Avenue of the Fountains reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information to open a utility account without permission.

*A resident of the 9000 block of Burkemo Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to obtain medical services.

*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Adero Canyon Drive where a subject was trespassed from a private residence.

Wednesday, March 6

*A resident of the 17000 block of Kensington Place reported that an unknown subject opened multiple credit accounts in the victim’s name without permission. The victim was unwilling to aid in prosecution.
