The Town of Fountain Hills has announced a major pavement reconstruction project on El Lago Boulevard, between Saguaro Boulevard and Panorama Drive, starting in early May.
M.R. Tanner Construction is scheduled to begin milling, the process of removing several inches of the existing asphalt, on Tuesday, May 6. This busy stretch of roadway is expected to see significant improvement once the work is complete, enhancing the driving experience for residents and visitors alike.
Paving of the eastbound and westbound lanes will take place on separate dates. Eastbound paving is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, with westbound paving planned for May 21 and 22. Note that these dates are subject to change based on weather and project conditions.
Access to homes and businesses along El Lago will be maintained throughout the project. While access to the Fountain Park parking lot and Plaza Fountainside will remain open for the majority of the project, there may be brief closures during paving of the westbound lanes in those areas.
The project is expected to run through the end of May.
