Town of Fountain Hills Interim Community Services Director Kevin Snipes has been promoted to serve as permanent director of the department.
Snipes was elevated from his position as parks superintendent to fill the director position on the interim basis following the appointment of former director Rachael Goodwin to interim town manager in April this year. She was promoted to town manager in early October.
Snipes came to work for the Town of Fountain Hills in 2016 serving as parks supervisor in the Community Services Department. As parks supervisor his leadership and experience helped the department be recognized as the Grand Plaque Award honoree for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA) in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA). He was promoted to parks superintendent in 2019.
A graduate of Wright State University in Fairborn, Ohio, Snipes earned degrees in history, health, and physical education.
