Four Peaks Rotary hosts ‘Beautification Day’ in Fountain Hills

Community invited to help beautify FHUSD

Posted

Fountain Hills Community Beautification Day of Service is Saturday, April 27, when community members can get their hands dirty with decorating the landscape at Fountain Hills High School.

Organized by the Four Peaks Rotary Club, staff and students of the Fountain Hills Unified School District (FHUSD) and volunteers will spread decorative stone in front of the high school.

All the heavy work is completed by machinery ahead of the event while the spreading of rocks will be completed by community members.

“This is all about school pride and school beautification,” says Todd Harris, consultant for FHUSD and past president of Four Peaks Rotary. “Our focus is to make the corner of Palisades and Golden Eagle look nice and classy.”

Large groups and clubs are invited to join in the cause and those interested in participating should bring their own rakes and gloves.

Materials and equipment are provided by Shea Connelly Development LLC.

The Fountain Hills Community Beautification Day of Service is Saturday, April 27, from 7:30 to 11 a.m.

Volunteers can meet in front of the FHUSD Learning Center at 16000 E. Palisades Ave. at 7:30 a.m. for coffee, doughnuts and instructions.

For more information, call Todd Harris at 847-404-9701 or by email at toddh1716@gmail.com.

FHUSD volunteers/consultants sought

Harris is also seeking volunteers, mentors and subject matter experts in painting, HVAC, carpentry, hardware, plumbing and electrical work to help with the upkeep and maintenance repairs at the school.

“We can be saving a significant amount of money by doing routine repairs internally,” Harris said, who is putting together a team of individuals to provide guidance on repairs at the school.

Those interested in joining Harris’ team can contact him directly by phone at 847-404-9701 or by email at toddh1716@gmail.com.
