Watch and Clock Club meets May 11
The Valley of the Sun Chapter 112 of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors will hold its monthly meeting Saturday May 11, at 9 a.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy the program, “A Photo Recap of the 2024 Sunshine Regional,” by Dave Shields and Mike Wilson.
Come learn, share and enjoy the study of horology (the science of timekeeping). For additional information, contact Mike Wilson at 480-816-6483.
Take Off Pounds Sensibly welcomes newcomers
Anyone looking for weight-loss support and to start or continue their journey of weight loss is invited to join TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) Fountain Hills chapter every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chapter meetings are held at Joy Church, 13430 N. Saguaro Blvd. Use the front entrance of the church and follow the signs.
Al-Anon holds regular meetings
Al-Anon family meetings are held each Saturday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in the classroom building.
The only requirement to attend is that there be a problem of alcoholism in a relative or friend. Attendees will find hope as members share their experiences, strength and hope.
Shepherd of the Hills is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.
Community Center contract bridge winners posted
Contract bridge is played every Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Center. Membership in the Community Center is required to participate.
Winners from April 26 include Ron Bredemann in first place, Peter Mack in second place and Max Love in third place.
Winners from May 1 include Richard Rasmussen in first place, Merry Hill Klein in second place and Joanne Arneson in third place.
Botanical Garden seeks volunteers
The Fountain Hills Desert Botanical Garden is looking for volunteers to join its cause to keep the trail in good condition for all to use.
The garden requires stewardship from the community to keep the trail accessible to all.

Rotary Club of Fountain Hills meet in late May
The Fountain Hills Rotary Club will host professional organizer Holly Tate of Simplified LLC on May 21.
Held at the American Legion Post 58, 16837 E. Parkview Ave., the Rotary Club of Fountain Hills meets at 4 p.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month.
Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group convenes
The Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group will convene May 13 when Tom Aiello of the Fountain Hills Crisis Response Team will present.
The Fountain Hills Men’s Discussion Group meets every Monday at 10 a.m. at the Community Center. Pre-registration is required for all presentations. The programs are free for Community Center members or $5 for non-members.
