Fountain Hills businesses wrap 110 hygiene baskets for women’s shelter

Second annual basket party a success

Posted

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and generosity, Fountain Hills businesses collected, wrapped and delivered a total of 110 hygiene baskets for A New Leaf Women’s Shelter in Mesa.

Organizers of the event, Ellen Mackay of Aesthetic Elegance and Wellness and Christina Guthrie of P39 Pure Growth CBD thanked the local businesses and community members who participated to make the second annual basket party a success.

The event saw support from a list of sponsors including Sipps Eatery; Phil’s Filling Station; Treats of Sweden; Good Living Greens; TDC Financial Services; The M. Parlor Salon; Tate Healing Massage; Fountain Hills Healthy Heartbeats; Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce; BNI Titans; Brenda McCarty Mary Kay; Nancy Stevens; Ionic Builders; Becky’s Favors; Sharla Shore; InLight Therapy; Jazzercise; Cards of FH; Dr. Angela Derosa; Ed Horvak;  and many more.

What started as a collaborative effort has evolved into a community-wide movement with more Fountain Hills businesses joining the cause daily. The unity and camaraderie displayed throughout the event showcase the remarkable strength of Fountain Hills as a close-knit community, a press release read.

“We are feeling so very blessed from the outpouring of support from everyone,” the release said. “We made 110 baskets this year.”

The event not only fulfilled its primary purpose of supporting A New Leaf Woman’s Shelter but also served as a testament to the power of unity within Fountain Hills, the release continued.

“The success of the second annual basket party is a tribute to the collective spirit of compassion that defines Fountain Hills,” the release continued. “The organizers extend their deepest appreciation to all sponsors, participants and the entire Fountain Hills community for turning a simple idea into a powerful force for good.

“The impact of these 110 baskets will undoubtedly be felt in the hearts and homes of those receiving these tokens of love and support this holiday season.”
