Fountain Hills Community Center invites residents to join a group of fellow family caregivers to learn how to regain hope and build resilience when dealing with the challenges of caring for someone with dementia or other cognitive impairment.
In the Find Meaning and Hope discussion series, participants will learn skills that can help them navigate the caregiving journey with healing and hope.
This 10-session series features videos and discussions based on the groundbreaking book, Loving Someone Who Has Dementia: How to Find Hope While Coping With Stress and Grief by Paula Boss, Ph.D., a leading expert on caregiver grief.
The sessions will take place on Tuesdays, 1 to 2:30 p.m., Feb. 6 through April 9, at the Fountain Hills Community Center, 13001 N. La Montana Drive. The facilitator is Linda Rode.
Register before Feb. 3 by calling the Fountain Hills Community Center at 480-816-5200, course # 2302.
Finding Meaning and Hope and the Meaning & Hope Institute are programs of Duet: Partners in Health & Aging.
This series is sponsored by the Town of Fountain Hills Community Center.
