Meeting
Federal overreach Fountain Hills Tea Party topic
Meeting is Thursday, Nov. 16
Posted
Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party will discuss “Federal Overreach & Failure” Thursday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
The United States Constitution specifies the role of the federal government. The Tenth Amendment specifies a limit on federal powers: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”
Have there been instances of the federal government exceeding its Constitutional authority or failing to properly fulfill its role? That is the question which will be the topic for discussion.
The special guest speaker Nov. 16 will be AZ State Senate President Warren Petersen. Petersen will review examples of overreach and failure and discuss how the state of Arizona can respond.
As always, all interested parties are welcome to attend, listen, ask questions and get informed. Admission is free but donations to cover expenses are welcomed and appreciated.
Fountain Hills AZ Tea Party is a local not-for-profit organization established in 2010 and which provides discussion about important issues of government and governing. For more information, visit fhteaparty.us.
