Asking Governor Hobbs her manufacturing priorities

Posted

Governor Katie Hobbs, as the former CEO of the Arizona Association of Industries (600 manufacturers and related industries), I am interested in what you are doing to develop, increase and bring manufacturing to Arizona.

Here's what Indiana is doing under their Republican Governor Mike Braun (from a report by Indiana's U.S. Senator): Honda building new Civic vehicle in Indiana instead of Mexico; GM announced increased truck production in Indiana; Eli Lilly investing $27 billion in American manufacturing; Swiss pharmaceuticals Roche chose Indiana for a new plant with $50 billion invested in U.S.; $19 million investment bringing bicycle manufacturing back to U.S.; Novartis plans expansion in Indianapolis. Overall, $23 billion in American manufacturing.

Indiana's agenda tracks with what President Trump is implementing. Recently, you vetoed 20 bills passed by the Arizona House and Senate. Besides vetoing bills, Governor Hobbs, exactly what do you do? Your career has been as a social worker, domestic violence shelter head, and for over 15 years you have been in state government. Really, no wonder you don't place a high priority on business development and growing the state economically.

Tell us exactly what you have accomplished in manufacturing recruitment since you were elected in 2022 and what you plan to do differently to better Arizona in 2026 if you run. I'm very interested where your priorities are and how you spend your time.
