The community is invited to the next Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery weekly demonstration Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The featured artist for this event is Julie Gilbert, a jewelry artist who creates custom chains.
“I developed an interest in creating distinctive custom jewelry when I made a set for my daughter to wear to prom and a necklace for my son,” Gilbert said. “Relocation to Arizona in 2009 brought the opportunity to enhance my design capabilities through the tutelage of local, national and international jewelry artists.
“I am impressed with the healing properties of natural stones. I always feel especially gratified when clients are excited about wearing and gifting what I have had the passion to create.”
The gallery is located at 16858 E. Avenue of the Fountains and is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
