Stigmatized

Throughout the years the sports world has had its share of so-called cheaters.

The pitchers that cut up baseballs, or rubbed substance on the balls to fool the batters. The batters who doctored up their bats. The boxers that laced the inside of their gloves with plaster for more power to the punches.

But I do not believe anyone in the sports world has been labeled as a cheater as much as Tom Brady, the top quarterback in the NFL, during this deflating fiasco.

If T.B. is innocent as he claims, then he has a choice of accepting the penalty the commissioner sees fit to give him. Tom Brady is now wealthy and does not depend on the NFL for anything. He is still very fit health-wise and would like to continue playing football.

He could tell the commissioner he will no longer play football for the NFL but lend his talents elsewhere, preferably The Canadian League, where I am sure he would be welcomed with open arms plus an open pocketbook.

This could be quite an uplift for Canadian football and a well-deserved black eye to the NFL and the commissioner. Whatever T.B. decides, good luck.
