Will fighting over “progressive” biblical translations become the popular sport that the eight pastors wish it to be as they mount their respective (or should that be dis-respective?) pulpits from now until July?
Or will congregations vote their objections by staying home, and choose to live by faith rather than fight about it?
Perhaps some good will come of this controversy. I hope so, and offer up this simple prayer: Lord, deliver us from those who know everything, and understand nothing. Amen.
