Help paradise

Posted

We who are residents in town know how fortunate we are to live in a paradise. But even paradise does need updating and timely maintenance.

Members of Fountain Hills Botanical Garden have taken great pride in the garden located on Fountain Hills Blvd. We, however, do not have enough money and resources to update the entrance and hill behind the parking lot.

Lo and behold we were recently informed of a $10,000 grant funded by Republic Services, our town’s recycling provider.

What a unique opportunity to enhance and beautify the garden entrance to our Town from Shea Blvd.! Through appealing signage and environmentally appropriate landscaping we plan to use this grant money to welcome all residents and visitors to Fountain Hills.

So, residents, whether you pay your Republic Services bill by mail, auto pay from checking or online you can make this plan a reality for all to enjoy. Just go to republicgivesback.com and vote points you earn from weekly recycling pick up for the Fountain Hills Botanical Garden by scrolling down to option 4 by Aug. 14.

All the garden members thank you for your vote. As they say in Chicago, “Vote early and vote often.” Paradise is alive, well and continuing to grow!
