As I watched the horrific carnage in Paris by a group faced with a death cult bent on inflicting terror upon civilized people, and in love with suicide, I was repulsed as was every sane person, and depressed as ISIS threatened that we are next to die.
We are blessed that we have some protection from two oceans, but President Obama is magnanimously accommodating thousands of Syrian refugees, some with false passports and murderous intentions. How can we have confidence in our safety with a leader (?) who tells us that the Paris murders were just a contretemps? Not to worry because he will keep us safe…
We have not yet heard the means by which our government will satisfy our concerns on this important point. The disaster of the open-door policy based on good intentions rather than practical reality has the ominous possibility of endangering American lives, not just now but also in the future.
If foreigners wish to avail themselves to our generous hospitality, tolerance and financial benefits, they have to embrace our values, and I think there is far too much importance given to the so-called human rights of people to behave as they want without the need to observe the responsibility inherent in living in American society.
The European Union’s open-door policy and the experiment of multiculturalism have failed. We should learn from their political experience.
Muslims do not share our core values; they have an abhorrence for democracy. They will not assimilate into our culture, and we will not alter our lifestyle. This barbarity is solely at the root of Islam, and it is up to the Muslims, especially young Syrian men, to fight for their own country. I would rather die than succumb to Sharia law!
