If you’ve never attended a Veterans Day ceremony in Fountain Hills, we’d recommend you head down to the Veterans Memorial in Fountain Park this Saturday, Nov. 11, at 9 a.m.
Similar to the Memorial Day event, local veterans organizations put on a touching, thoughtful presentation dedicated to the men and women who serve in the United States’ armed forces. But while Memorial Day is dedicated to those who have fought and lost their lives for the country they love, Memorial Day is dedicated to all who have and continue to serve.
It’s a powerful scene at Fountain Park, with current and past servicemen and women coming together to offer support, gratitude and encouragement to each other. Those folks are joined by their family, friends and neighbors at the local ceremony, where brief messages will be shared by a panel of speakers. As an added bonus, the cool fall weather usually helps make for a picturesque morning that unites the community.
