Stephen Austin Ladd, 69, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2017 at his home in Fountain Hills. Stephen was born Aug. 29, 1947, to Stephen and Marylou Ladd in Chicago, Ill., the oldest of seven children.
Stephen graduated high school from Brother Rice in Chicago and later attended college at DePaul University. Stephen began his insurance career working at Rural Insurance. He then opened The Ladd Agency in 1984 living in Cedarburg, Wis. until retiring to his home in Arizona.
He was a good man that loved his family more than anything. He was always the life of the party and had more friends than one could count. He worked hard and played hard and was loved by many. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with prayers, condolences and sharing the love and stories.
Stephen is survived by his son, Stephen (Jodie) Ladd; his daughter, Cindy (Gary) Hamburg; his son, Dominic (Dannielle) Ladd; and his daughter, Samantha (Jake) Murphy; grandchildren, Amanda, Zachariah, Madeline, Alexandria, Claire, Sophia, Grace, Austin, Carter and Gordon; brothers, Larry, David, Thomas and Paul; sister, Loretta; and numerous nieces and nephews. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mark Ladd.
